New to these. Is it correct that non position modes (torque and velocity) run smoothly with hover board or skater board motors at 0.5 to 800 RPM? Are hover and skater motors have hall sensor as standard and can work with ODrive S1?
ODrive S1 works fine with hall sensors, however hall sensors are intrinsically very low resolution, and cannot provide good low speed velocity control. You could consider our botwheels, which have integrated high-resolution encoders for precise low-speed velocity and position control - and come with a wire harness for ODrive S1.
