Odrive for 3S battery

I want to control motor of a 3S car that has 45A continuous current. Can I do that with the Odrive micro? The voltage can fall below 10V…

Sure! It should be fine down to 7-9V or so.

Thanks for info! Why is input range defined from 10V on and not 7V onward? If I would go only on datasheet, I’d skip this product.

We haven’t done formal qualification of the entire product characteristics down to lower voltages – things like 5V regulator current, device current limits, etc. But that’s just because we’re very careful about doing a few thousand hours of testing before we say anything :slight_smile: It’s definitely on my todo to update the docs, thanks for the reminder and sorry for any confusion!
