Does the counts/mm have to be an integer ?
I want to use the odrive in an high precision laser machine.
Beein able to use it in combination with 1.95um/count linear magnetic encoders would be a mayor point for me.
Counts / mm? Where are you seeing this? If you mean counts / rev then it needs to be an integer. ODrive has no concept of linear distance, so if you use a 1.95um / count encoder you need to figure out how many counts the machine will slide in one motor revolution.
