I’d like to drive the S1 with a signal from my Radio control receiver. I see it’s possible in the Docs but requires me to install Python. Is there an easier way, maybe in the dashboard software?
Thanks!
Thank you so much! This got me going.
I’m having a strange problem now. It may be my inexperience with this kind of a setup.
I’m running two Odrive D6374-150kv motors side by side. When unpowered, rotating one motor by hand forces the second motor to rotate. Very strong magnets!
When I try to calibrate this set up, I get encoder spinout error every time. If I remove one motor from the setup, the motor that is still mounted calibrates fine. I’ve included a picture of my project for your reference.
Have you seen this problem before?
Wow, that’s crazy!
I’d recommend increasing calibration lock-in current to around 40A, which will help overcome any external disturbances:
Note this is a good amount of current – the S1 will need to be on a heatspreader plate or some other form of heatsinking – if you just run it as a bare PCB on your desk, it’ll thermal limit itself pretty quickly (negating the benefits of having more current).
