Single Motor ODrive

Hello all, I am currently working on a project where I need a bldc motor to move an actuator a specific distance such as what is possible with an Odrive. The only issue is that I only need one motor and there is only an option for a dual motor Odrive. So my question is there any pcb designs out there that accommodate a single motor? And if there isn’t I have looked into using a VESC based system but it seems like the Odrive suits my needs for precision more than what a typical VESC is used for. Let me know your thoughts!

v4 ODrive is going to be a single-axis version. @PJohnson might have an idea of when it is going to be released… … :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh that sounds like just like what I need if it is released somewhat soon

It will be a while before it’s ready for production, unfortunately.

Please provide an order of magnitude in relation to “a while” :joy:

Well, beta units are coming in this or next week. I would expect on the order of 3-6 months? (That’s without talking to Oskar about it, and it depends on the success of the beta units)
