I’ve been looking for a reason to give the odrive a go and was thinking the new micro mill I am considering building would be a cool candidate (3"x3"x3" xyz travel). My gut says a nema 11 stepper would probably provide more than enough torque with 0806 ball screws so a bldc motor around 25-30mm would package well. Can the odrive run small motors and if so how does Kv play in to this?
