Has anyone checked out the new Trinamic TMC4671 servo driver IC? It looks pretty interesting. It implements field oriented control in hardware.
This looks very interesting. Unfortunately I was not able to find any comparison of the Trinamic TMC4671 and the odrive.
How do these compare? Would a system built from the TMC4671 be capable of anything, that the odrive is not? The TMC4671 seems to work at 100 KHz switching frequency, would that be of any benefit for high speed applications?
