I was looking to the V3.4 and V3.5 schematics and i noticed that the current measurement for the brake resistor was removed.
How is the current measured ?

It is not measured, we assume that the user-provided brake resistance value is accurate. Then we apply a voltage (duty cycle) and assume that I = V/R flows.
