v3.4 48V version, after flashing the firmware and connecting to 24V, DRV8301 starts to get hot. After clearing the program, the chip no longer heats up. What is going on, am I running the wrong program?

Hard to know, you haven’t told us what program you’re running 
How did you install it? And can you check odrv0.fw_version_minor and odr0v.fw_version_revision
