Dip switches to DFU?

Hi all, my Odrive’s have “sealed” dip switches, yellowish rubber on top!

I can now hear you saying yeah, der!!!

So the question is; in order to flash the ODrive using DFU command:

1/ firstly do I remove (with a scalpel) this yellowish rubber to flip the switch.
Or
2/ leave it alone or you’ll bugger it!

Please advise 1 or 2

you can remove the yellow seal if you want, it will make no difference
