I’m trying to understand if there is any change in configuration between using star-wound motor and delta-wound one.
ODrive assumes wye (star) wound, but if the motor is instead delta wound it’s not a problem. ODrive will just assume the equivalent wye motor.

what I was actually asking is - could I have performance degradation or side effect while using delta motors with ODrive?
You can use either wye or delta, it makes no difference to the ODrive.

It’s just a choice the manufacturer uses to optimize the flux.
