Encoder index search failing

New to ODrive. Have it working on hoverboard hub motors well. However, when I try to perform an index search on an ODrive D5065 270KV with CUI AMT102 I get heavy oscillation. I am using a new Odrive 56V driver card.

  1. When the index search is running, is the motor running open loop?
  2. If it is running closed loop, then I assume the standard gains apply.

OK, problem traced to a broken motor drive wire.
