Hi, I know you can reverse the index search for encoders but I’m curious if you can flip the signed value of the encoder output through odrive config to output positive direction values in the reverse direction. We are currently flipping the sign for the right encoder wheel output on our differential robot in the main application code. Wondering if we can configure this on the odrive in some way…
I don’t think it’s actually possible. The best option is to flip the A and B encoder pins.
That makes total sense. We’ll likely keep it in the code for now and look at a hardware pin swap in the future. Thanks!
Can the encoder output for encoders with index signal (Z) also be reversed by flipping the A and B encoder pins?
