How do I use index signal of AS5047P?

Hi guys,
I am using AS5047P as my encoder, and I have successfully controlled the brushless motor by AS5047P without index signal. If I want to use AS5047P with index signal, do I need to set the value of the register of AS5047P? If so, which registers should be set? I’ve read the datasheet, but I have no idea.
