ODrive v3 Motor Not Responding After Firmware Update

Hello

After updating the firmware on my ODrive v3; I faced an issue where the motor no longer responds to commands. I have followed all the necessary steps in the update process; including verifying the version, resetting configurations & restarting the system. However; despite multiple attempts to recalibrate the motor, it refuses to move or produce any output when commanded. :innocent:

Upon investigating; I verified that the motor & ODrive are correctly wired & the power supply is providing the proper voltage. The ODriveā€™s LED status indicator is showing a steady light, which suggests the system is powered on correctly, but Iā€™m not seeing any activity when sending position or velocity commands through the control interface. I have tried reloading the firmware and running the ā€œodrivetoolā€ to troubleshoot, but the motor still wonā€™t respond. :innocent: I have checked Getting Started ā€” ODrive Documentation 0.6.10 documentation Java documentation guide but still need advice .

I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed with diagnosing this issue. Could it be related to the firmware version compatibility / is there a specific reset or configuration step I may have missed?

Also; are there any logs or diagnostics I can run to pinpoint the cause of this failure?

Thanks in advance for your help! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi! That documentation you listed is for the ODrive Pro/S1/Micro, for v3 docs please see here: Getting Started ā€” ODrive Documentation 0.5.4 documentation

Firmware updates will erase the ODriveā€™s configuration ā€“ youā€™ll need to go back through the motor calibration / encoder calibration / ODrive setup steps.

What motor and ODrive are you using? I may be able to help with that information ā€“ could you show a picture?
