Powering ISO IO 5V/GND from FEEDBACK IO

Hi,

I am aware of the issues around ground loops but I am trying to come up with the easiest setup when only connecting an RC receiver to two ODrive Pro’s. (PWM) I would love to avoid an extra battery and BEC to get the 5V.

I stumbled on this post.

Continuing the discussion from GPIO Digital Read From Python:

So would a setup with a LIPO battery powering two ODrives and an RX receiver qualify for this ?

Thanks,
Serge

Since the Pro’s PWM input is isolated, you could power the receiver from one Pro’s 5V output, and then have it connect to both Pro’s PWM input. Won’t cause a ground loop! Just make sure to connect each’s ISO_VDD/ISO_GND to the first Pro’s 5V/GND as well.

Thats great !! Many thanks for confirming this.
