Setting up position control

I am trying to get some understanding of how the position controller is supposed to be configured. We are using an Odrive, CUI AMT102, and an outrunner to control the position of a shaft on a 6X reduction from the motor.

We want to control the shaft position. Any clues on how to set the controller parameters for the best accuracy and control?
