Undocumented ODrive Axis State 256

My ODrive is reporting its current_state as ‘256’, which I don’t see listed on this docs page.

Can anyone tell me what this number means?

For context, I am talking to the ODrive over UART using the ASCII protocol. I am sending
r axis0.current_state and getting back 256.

Hmm… 256 shouldn’t be possible. What are you using to read the data?

Since this is apparently not an undocumented feature, that makes it a by product of some other problem. Rather than having two conversations at once I’ll reply in the other thread.
