The supply voltage was 48V, and I accidentally reversed the DC input polarity. As soon as I turned on the supply 1 componeth burned out and I quickly turned the supply off. I think that the component which burned out is a diode. Can I replace the diode, and is there any hope it will work after?
I removed the diode and connected the ODrrive to the supply (the right way), and it powered on like normal, then I connected the USB to my laptop end It recognised the ODrive like normal. Is the diode just for reverse polarity protection, and can I use my ODrive Pro without it?
Sorry to hear that happened! You could definitely try replacing it – there’s a good chance it protected the rest of the board. Here’s the replacement: PTVS58VP1UP,115 Nexperia USA Inc. | Circuit Protection | DigiKey
