Oh - note the distance is probably fine, it’s the x/y offset that’s usually problematic. 1-3mm vertical airgap is typically just fine.

I’m getting the same error with a new motor. I tried using harmonic calibration with AMS(AS5047D) but it throws an error saying Invalid State.
I read in the forum that I should update it to devel firmware?

Harmonic calibration is supported in firmware v0.6.11 onward – I’d imagine you’re just running v0.6.10 or earlier. You definitely have to do a firmware upgrade, but no need to upgrade to devel.
