Greetings, I am trying to make an AS5048 work with an Odesc 3.6, but I get the error ABS_SPI_COM_FAIL when rebooting, or NO_RESPONSE from the encoder when doing offset calibration. Is it a wiring problem? I tried to search more about these errors but got nothing…

It’s a chinese clone board from AliExpress running the 0.5.1 firmware.
Gotcha - unfortunately, not much we can do to help there. Those are based on an earlier version of ODrive (v3.4 or v3.5) even if they’re advertised as v3.6 – and those older versions had major problems with signal integrity. The errors you’re showing are indicative of those signal integrity issues, unfortunately. I’d recommend returning the Odesc and picking up an ODrive S1, which has much more reliable performance.
